Trump, the 43rd US President and a candidate for re-election in 2024, was the subject of an assassination attempt during a rally he held in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13.
Trump lay down on the ground next to the podium after gunshots were heard during his speech, and US Secret Service teams surrounded him to protect him. Trump, who stood up, was seen to have an injury above his right ear.

Trump attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, today after the assassination attempt. Footage shared by the RNC showed Trump with a bandage over his right ear.
