In July, permission was withdrawn for the electricity and energy program at Thoren Innovation School in Malmö due to major shortcomings in the education. Just before the start of the semester, the group announced that the school would be closed completely after the school year.
On its website, the Thorengruppen writes that the main focus is to ensure that the students in year three have a good last year of school. Those who would have started in year one will be placed “on an equivalent program at another school”.
A number of Thorengruppen’s schools have been criticized by the School Inspectorate. In July, the permit was also withdrawn for Thoren Business School in Solna.
