Thomas Cailley for “The Animal Kingdom”

Thomas Cailley for The Animal Kingdom

What if one day a pandemic broke out, and we had to confine part of the affected population? Nothing to do with Covid. Written before the global crisis, the Animal Kingdom scenario imagines that a strange mutation strikes certain humans who gradually transform into eagles, dogs or amphibians.

In his second feature film (after The fighters), The animal kingdom, Thomas Cailley films François (Romain Duris) and his son Emile (Paul Kircher) in search of their wife and mother Lana, a mutant who disappeared in a forest in the Landes.

Also showing in our cinema this Saturday, a report by our correspondent Théa Ollivier produced during the Dakar premiere of the film Banel et Adama, and a call to Loïc Pialat in Hollywood who tells us about the end of the screenwriters strike

Musical releases: Back in 74 of Jungle, and Confetti by Charlotte Cardin.
