Spring is here, we will soon switch to summer time and we are moving towards brighter times. For many, this means that more time is spent out in the garden or among crops that may have just moved out on the balcony.

Every year, a geranium, or a variety group of geraniums, is appointed as “geranium of the year”. This is to make visible the diversity of the genus. Which geranium receives the award is revealed every year at the Tree Fair, in collaboration with the Flower Promotion.
The award has been awarded since 2007.
In 2025 it was no less than the gardener as well as the TV profile Victoria Skoglund who presented “Pelargon of the Year” at the fair.
– An adorable geranium that delivers in all categories. Beautiful foliage, rich flowering, rain -resistant, sun -resistant, dry -resistant and it also seems to cope with a huge pruning from a smaller deer family that greeted in June last summer. A starry survivor, Skoglund said about the “winner” in a press release before the disclosure.
So which geranium mented home the award this year? Well, this year’s Pelargon 2025 became Pelargonium X Hortorum (Summer Twist series) Summer Twist Rose.
“With a peculiar and stylish design language, the simple and the wild are combined. The warm, unique color and shape of the flowers both enchants and delights, both near and distance. This is a geranium that harmonizes with several prevailing trends and becomes a living still life.”
