This use of toilet paper in the garden works wonders

An expert has shared his amazing trick. It consists of using toilet paper to accompany an important stage of gardening.

Gardening expert, his passion, Siloé Oliveira shares many tips on the web to his subscribers in the form of videos posted on his social networks. This expert recently shared a new little trick to support the development of your plants and ensure rapid and successful growth of your precious plants. For this, he uses a product that we all have at home… toilet paper!

It’s on his account, baptized Suburban Homestead, that he reveals his trick to succeed in germinating the seeds and obtaining magnificent plants. The gardener recognizes that many plant lovers already use paper towels.

However, this is a mistake according to him because toilet paper offers better options. Not only does toilet paper perfectly retain the moisture necessary for germination, but it also decomposes more easily. This is key because this rapid decomposition allows the roots of your seedlings to not get tangled in the toilet paper, unlike paper towels. Thus, transplanting your small seedlings will be much easier.

Neither too dry nor too wet, a second tip to ensure perfect humidity

It is still necessary for this to rely on a second trick. Our expert gives instructions on how to easily germinate your precious seeds. For this, he uses a large plate or a slightly hollowed dish like a large glass bowl in which he puts a little water.

On top, he places his slightly soaked sheet of toilet paper and his precious seeds on another smaller plate. To keep the toilet paper moist without it getting soaked, he fills the dish with water, making sure the plate sits slightly above the water level. This simple, but effective tip, allows the seeds to benefit from an optimal environment to germinate without risk of mould!
