What is Jungle Cruise about? The British botanist Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt) goes on a trip to the Amazon in 1916. In South America she wants to find a plant that can cure any disease. However, the only river captain who is willing to take the scientist and her brother MacGregor (Jack Whitehall) to the region in question is Frank Wolff (Dwayne Johnson) with his rickety boat. Together they discover the almost 400-year-old secret of the Spanish conquistador Aguirre (Édgar Ramírez).
