This type of application will surge on smartphones this summer, but beware of the scam

This type of application will surge on smartphones this summer

An application has become more and more popular in recent weeks. Thought to protect users as summer approaches, it could just be a huge scam.

The imminent arrival of summer inspires many developers anxious to develop new applications to accompany us during the holidays. One of these applications has become more and more popular in recent years and is experiencing a real resurgence in popularity as summer approaches. You may have one of these apps, but are they really effective? According to several experts in the field, nothing is less certain.

Who says summer vacation also says… Invasion of mosquitoes! These little beasts love to invade our homes and spoil our afternoons by biting us regularly. A problem that would have found its solution according to several developers who have created anti-mosquito applications.

Called “anti Mosquito Sonic Repeller”, “insecticide mosquito repellent” or even “super mosquito repellent”, these applications promise to repel these dirty little beasts by using ultrasound which repel mosquitoes around your smartphone. But is this really the case?

Useless and even dangerous applications

Unfortunately for users, the experts in the field are categorical: this type of application has no effect on mosquitoes. They have no hearing and therefore cannot be affected by any ultrasound emanating from your smartphone! Mosquitoes are attracted to heat, perspiration and respiration. This is why their bites are much more present in summer.

Laboratory experts also point out that, if this type of ultrasound has no effect on mosquitoes, this is not necessarily the case for a human being: “While these applications are useless, their ultrasound can however be annoying for humans, especially children”. We can only strongly advise you to delete this type of application from your smartphone, and go back to the good old mosquito repellent products or its natural alternatives, lemongrass in mind!
