Social functions worked

But despite the extent, the impact on important social functions such as healthcare, municipal activities, the environment and cultural environment was according to the report.

– A contributing reason for this is that there were established routines in place at both municipalities and the Swedish Transport Administration. Major financial damage has occurred, but society at large rolled on, says Anne-Catrin Almér, one of the report authors in a press release.

Both the municipalities Habo and Jönköping believe that they handled the incident in a good way and that they could do it again.
