A restaurant in Italy offered a different solution to the increase in energy prices in Europe. The restaurant has decided to turn off the lights due to a 500 percent increase in electricity bills. While the moments where customers spend time in the restaurant by candlelight were shared on social media, the comment was made that “There will be a very warm autumn in Europe and beyond”.
Experts stated that Italy’s energy imports, which cost 43 billion euros in 2021, are expected to increase by 60 billion euros this year.
GAS FLOW STOPPED indefinitely
On the other hand, Russian oil company Gazprom announced last Friday that gas flow to Europe was stopped indefinitely due to oil leakage detected in the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which was announced to be closed for 3 days.
