This product eliminates the smell of urine in toilets

Forget bleach, this product is your best ally to eliminate stubborn urine odors from your toilets.

Cleaning the bathroom and toilet is tedious and can take a lot of time. This household task puts off many people, especially when it comes to cleaning the toilets. Between limescale and urine odors, it must be admitted, it is not always an easy mission. And yet, there is an unconventional product that you already have in the bathroom that can work wonders against urine odors in the toilet.

The smell of urine can be very persistent. If you don’t use the right products, you won’t get the results you want. The odor must be eliminated at the source, which is usually around the toilet bowl, under the rims, or on the floor around the base of the toilet. Although bleach is known to kill germs, it is not the best solution for removing urine odors from toilets.

So forget about bleach, we found a much less harmful product that does the job perfectly. This is shaving foam. Yes, you read correctly ! Shaving foam, a product commonly used for shaving, can actually be an unexpected ally in your fight against unpleasant odors and stubborn stains in your toilet. Be careful, do not take a gel shaving foam which then turns into foam, opt instead for a classic cheap foam.

Shaving foam contains cleaning agents and antibacterial agents that can help dissolve urine residue and eliminate odor-causing bacteria. Additionally, its thick, foaming texture makes it easy to coat toilet surfaces, making it ideal for deep cleaning.

Start by generously spraying shaving cream on all surfaces of the toilet bowl, including under the rim and around the inside rim, but also on the floor around the toilet. Make sure to completely cover the areas affected by urine stains. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, or even more.

Then use a scrub brush to vigorously scrub all surfaces of the toilet bowl, and a sponge for the floor. Focus particularly on areas where stains and odors are most pronounced. The combination of shaving foam and brush friction will help effectively remove urine residue and stubborn deposits. Then rinse well and flush the toilet. To finalize the job, you can then scrub your toilet with a microfiber cloth and white vinegar.

For even more effective cleaning, add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to the shaving foam. Tea tree essential oil is known for its antibacterial and deodorizing properties.
