Lake Lispach is a mountain lake in the Vosges massif, located at the foot of the La Bresse-Hohneck ski slopes, at an altitude of 912 meters, in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges regional natural park. Unique in its kind, the lake is occupied over almost half of its surface area by a floating peat bog which gives all its charm to the place. If hiking is your credo, the lake tour, accessible to the whole family, is a must.
Starting from the car park located on the Lispach road, at the foot of the La Bresse-Lispach estate, you will take this 3.8 kilometer path around Lispach lake, in the heart of the surrounding forest. We then enjoy fascinating fauna and flora as we come across frogs, newts and even dragonflies and we are offered magnificent panoramas of the lake, which we enjoy comfortably seated on benches placed here. from there. On the other side of the lake, it is possible to cross the width of the forest to reach a path which goes up to the Vieux Chevaux rock. If the drop in altitude is quite steep, it is worth it: it is the best view point over the lake and its surroundings.
