This new supermarket is coming to France prices are 10

Coming straight from Brazil, this brand, specializing in hard discount, offers thousands of products at low prices.

If you were looking for a supermarket that fights inflation, your search is now over. A few days ago, a brand new brand, from Brazil, set up shop in France by opening its first store in Aulnay-sous-Bois, in Seine-Saint-Denis. An arrival that is likely to appeal to a good number of consumers on a tight budget. And for good reason, the concept of this new supermarket follows the broad lines of hard discount: offering products in bulk at prices that are, to say the least, attractive.

When entering this store, customers are invited to shop in a large warehouse with minimal decor, which takes on the appearance of a hypermarket. Consumers, but also professionals, can find a whole range of products (food products, hygiene products, fresh produce, household appliances, etc.). The difference is that the items are not carefully arranged on shelves, but directly presented on pallets or in their boxes. Everything is ultimately done to limit costs.

The prices are intended to be very competitive. Between “10 to 15% cheaper” compared to other traditional hypermarkets. These would be “the lowest prices on the market with quality products”, indicates the group that owns the sign.

Its owner is one of the giants of the mass distribution sector. It is Carrefour. This group is behind the Atacadão brand, bought in 2007 and which was inaugurated in the Paris region on June 20 in a former Carrefour of 10,000 m². If the Atacadão concept works in France and builds customer loyalty, other stores could open in the future in the rest of the country. In any case, 9,000 kilometers away, in Brazil, the Carrefour discount brand is enjoying real success with its 300 points of sale.
