After the 144-hour long live broadcast, Musikhjälpen’s collection ended at Stora Torget in Sundsvall on Sunday evening. This allowed the three presenters Linnéa Wikblad, Assia Dahir and Emil Hansius to be released from the cage. In total, the program, which was broadcast on both Sveriges Radio and SVT, raised just over SEK 60 million, which is the second highest amount in Musikhjälpen’s history. – I am anxiously moved. That you have stood in there and seen so many wonderful people who join in and give the iron, says Emil Hansius. The big favorite Zeke Someone who made a success during the program is three-year-old Zeke with his “dinosaur bag”. He took home first place among the fundraisers with over 2.4 million for the collection. Zeke thus goes down in history as the biggest private bag ever in Musikhjälpen. Tops the song list During the week, the audience sent in 73,000 song requests, and it is the hockey supporters who dominated the list of most played songs. “Håå vee” – HV71 snagged first place both among song and artist wishes. “HV71’s entry into the top list last year has undeniably caused ripples in the water and inspired other teams around Sweden. It is fantastic that hockey patriotism has been able to contribute to this year’s cause,” says Mari Hesthammer, music editor at “Musikhjälpen” in a press release. “Musikhjälpen” started in 2008 and is made by P3 Sveriges Radio, SVT and the fundraising organization Radiohjälpen, which is tasked with distributing the money.
