This minister is in the sights of justice she would

Aurore Bergé is implicated for false testimony in the case of private crèches, revealed by Victor Castanet in September 2024. A judicial information was opened by the Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR), on January 31.

Would Aurore Bergé provide a false testimony? The Court of Justice of the Republic (CJR) opened a judicial investigation against the current Minister Delegate in charge of gender equality. Aurore Bergé is implicated in the case of private crèches, revealed in the book-investigation “The ogres” (ed. Flammarion) by Victor Castanet in September 2024. She is accused of having concluded a “non-aggression pact”, when she was Minister of Families (July 2023-Janvier 2024), with Elsa Hervy, the General delegate of the French Federation of Businesses and Crèches (FFEC).

Aurore Bergé had been heard before a parliamentary commission of inquiry on April 30, 2024, and had denied, under oath, any “personal, intimate or friendly link, or forms” with Elsa Hervy. Following this declaration, a report from the office of the National Assembly was issued, it was learned in a press release from Rémi Heitz, which exercises the functions of public prosecutor at the CRJ. Investigations were launched on Tuesday and judicial information was opened on Friday January 31. On January 23, the CJR requests Commission “issued an opinion favorable to the referral to the investigation commission of this court to instruct against Aurore Bergé, in his capacity as minister, of the chief of false testimony”.

Messages made public by Victor Castanet

However, exchanges between the two women were made public by the journalist in which we understand that a personal link exists. Following the publication of the survey book “The ogres”, Aurore Bergé filed a first defamation complaint. In response, the journalist made public documents which, according to him, attest to this “agreement between Aurore Bergé and Elsa Hervy”. One of these documents is an email sent on August 8, 2023, reports Rtlby the minister to her chief of staff. She describes Elsa Hervy there as “a very helpful friend”, with her.

Following the publication of these exchanges, Aurore Bergé filed a new complaint, this time for theft of her correspondence and an investigation has been underway since October 22, in Paris, reports Le Figaro.

As a reminder, the CJR is the only jurisdiction to be able to judge the members of the government for offenses committed in the exercise of their functions.
