This message sent by the bank is bad news you

2 million people have received this communication from their bank.

This is an email sent for the sake of “transparency”. In recent days, many customers have received an important message from their bank, which contains an attachment that should be read carefully: the new price list effective in a few days or weeks. Although you may have read it quickly or put it directly in the trash, this communication nevertheless hides bad news that it is not possible to detect without digging a little: like every year, having a bank card or carrying out dealing with your banker is becoming more and more expensive.

If, usually, bank rates change on 1er January, some establishments change their prices during the year. This is particularly the case with Crédit Agricole, which is currently informing its customers. From 1er July or 1er September, several services used on a daily basis will increase. The date is not the same for everyone because Crédit Agricole works with independent regional agencies. Prices vary greatly throughout France.

Despite price differences, there is one thing that is constant between all, or almost all: bank cards will cost more over the year, and even much more expensive for some of them. A Visa Classic or Mastercard Standard card, with immediate debit, will increase from €1.15 (Brie Picardie) to €3.20 (Ille-et-Vilaine), while the Visa Premier and Mastercard Gold will jump by €9.50 ( Ille-et-Vilaine) and €10 (Brie Picardie). Only Crédit Agricole PACA customers were pleasantly surprised to see that the prices of bank cards would not change a single cent.

If certain procedures such as going to an agency to make a transfer will cost a few dozen cents more, the prize for the most spectacular increase goes to Crédit Agricole d’Ille-et-Vilaine. In this establishment, separating will be very expensive: the bank will now charge 75 euros for separating a joint account! The bill was 49.65 euros so far.

This new pricing will come into effect from 1er July in Ille-et-Vilaine and PACA, and from 1er next September for customers of Crédit Agricole Brie Picardie, which concerns the departments of Seine-et-Marne, Somme and Oise. In total, this represents 2 million customers (1.1 million in Brie Picardie and 500,000 in Ille-et-Vilaine and PACA).
