The show of the “favorite village of the French” presented by Stéphane Bern on France 3 allows each year an important spotlight on one of our villages in France. Each month of February, 14 villages representative of our regions are pre -selected to obtain the coveted title. “We value the territories by showing the material heritage, with the buildings, and intangible as the local specialties” underlined Stéphane Bern. On February 17, France 3 unveiled the 14 villages in the running for the title of the 2025 edition. Among these, a village present of serious arguments to win.

The historic center of this town of more than 4,000 inhabitants reveals an exceptional medieval setting. Welcome to Semur-en-auxois, pearl of Côte-d’Or in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, which Developed around its fortified castle hoisted on a rocky spur. Built in the 13th century by King Louis IX, it is one of the most beautiful in the region and offers a breathtaking view of the city and its surroundings.
