This jewel in Europe is still spared from tourists its

Here is a still secret beach, a few kilometers from one of the most fashionable destinations in Europe.

A few kilometers from one of the most fashionable destinations in Europe, and where many tourists will still spend part of the summer there this year, a small island acts as a secret hideout still spared by the pack of tourists Europeans. For several years, the Canary Islands have earned their reputation as an ideal destination. Guaranteed sun, varied landscapes, multiple islands, geological curiosities, sandy beaches, wind for water activities and affordable prices have made the Canaries a winning cocktail for a successful vacation.

Unfortunately, this cocktail is starting to be as well known as the mint diabolo recipe. Many tourists arrive there and places that are still hidden are rare. Yet here is one, which deserves to linger during a vacation in the Canaries. Imagine disembarking on Lanzarote, one of the most fascinating islands of the Canaries but also unfortunately now one of the busiest, and still finding a virgin beach open to you and overlooking a volcano and a stretch of fine sand . A dream ? Not at all, this place exists but it is worth it!

You have to take a small boat, the only way to reach this haven of peace, the island of Graciosa to the northwest of Lanzarote. Only one small port provides access to the island from the small town of Orzola, north of Lanzarote. The ferry crossing lasts around twenty minutes, and can be lively since the wind and current are powerful in the strait which separates the two islands. Once arrived at La Graciosa, the reward is worth the crossing because an enchanting landscape lies before the visitor.

The small town of Caleta de Sebo is the only sign of urban planning on the island. There are no paved roads or hotels here. If you want to stay in this wild west-like landscape, only a few accommodations are available. However, a day trip offers a good compromise before finding all the modern comforts in Lanzarote. Don’t miss this trip because the path leading to La Francesa beach offers a great visiting experience, before the long-awaited swim on an often empty beach. It’s one of the secret gems of the Canary Islands with the opportunity to snorkel or simply stroll the long sandy beach and soak up the sun.

Be careful not to let yourself be overwhelmed by the tranquility of the place, it would be a shame to miss the last ferry in the evening… Finally, last little tip, back in Lanzarote, you can remember your day by admiring the breathtaking view of the island of Graciosa from the Mirador del Rio lookout. An unmissable experience during a stay in Lanzarote.
