Craig has given 007 a new level of vulnerability never before seen in the secret agent. At the same time, his Bond has one radiated grimmer hardnesswhich in turn is reminiscent of another Bond star.

Timothy Dalton makes his James Bond debut in The Living Days of Death, primarily for one Reboot after the longer Rooger Moore era to care. At the latest with exaggerated sci-fi films like Moonraker, they finally transformed the franchise into a comedic cartoon.

Dalton’s Bond debut has brought the series back to earth and relied on a classic spy mission, in which seriousness and down-to-earthness prevail over gags, gadgets and over-the-top action. This makes this James Bond film from 1987 look like one Blueprint for later Daniel Craig reboot with Casino Royale, which takes us even further back to the sinister origins of the infamous secret agent.

In Timothy Dalton’s performance one can very much of Craig’s edgy, withdrawn demeanor recognize before the most recent 007 star opened up the character in an increasingly vulnerable and emotional way.
Dalton’s subsequent and last Bond film License to Kill in particular transformed the otherwise charismatic gentleman agent into one fierce vigilante anti-heroes as Craig later embodied him again in the controversial Quantum of Solace. Who knows what the era of the latest James Bond star would have been like without comparison footage from Timothy Dalton…
