The secret to effortlessly removing limescale lies in a simple combination: paper towels and white vinegar. White vinegar is a mild acid that effectively dissolves limescale, while the paper towel acts as an absorbent medium to apply and hold the vinegar to the surfaces to be treated. If you don’t have paper towels, use a cloth.
Take a few sheets of paper towel and soak them generously in white vinegar. Make sure they are well saturated but not so much that they are dripping. Apply the soaked sheets directly to the areas affected by limescale. For vertical surfaces or hard-to-reach places like the rim of the toilet bowl, this is very practical, it allows the white vinegar to remain on the surface and be able to work. For faucets or shower heads, you can use strips of paper towel to wrap them.
Leave the paper towels in place for at least an hour. For more stubborn limescale deposits, you can leave them on overnight. After the setting time, remove the paper towels and throw them away. Use a damp sponge or cloth to wipe away the dissolved limescale residue. The limescale will come off easily. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
