Lloyd Lawrence is leaving Bachelor in Paradise without further explanation.
Now Lloyd and the production explain what really happened.
– I was not happy at all about the situation, says Lloyd.
In tonight’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise, Lloyd Lawrence leaves the program, but no reason why is mentioned when the presenter Malin Stenbäck tells the rest of the participants about it. When TV4 reaches Lloyd, he tells his view on why he is leaving the show.
– I wasn’t happy with the production and how everything behind the cameras went. There were several reasons for that, but mainly it was that I wasn’t feeling too well for a couple of days, explains Lloyd.
– I tried to find a place where we recorded where I could take it easy and cool off a bit, it was very hot in Mexico. But only one room with AC was available and it belonged to the production. I went into the room a few times and was then kicked out by the production, he continues.
“The production said I couldn’t come back”
He further explains what happened when he had to leave the recordings in Mexico.
– The day I went home I was angry and super irritated with the production. I didn’t want to record anymore that night and tried to go home to the hotel the guys had. After a while I got it, but when I was sleeping they came in the middle of the night and knocked on my door and said they thought I’d been a little mean to the production. That they didn’t want me to remain in the program, he says.
– The production said I wasn’t allowed to come back, he adds.
Lloyd is not happy with how it all turned out.
– I was not happy at all about the situation. Nobody talked to me the day before. Why is the production’s problem more important than anyone in the cast? Lloyd wonders.
The production about what happened
Catrin Magnusson, executive producer at TV4, comments on the whole thing.
“Lloyd had to leave Bachelor in Paradise after several discussions with the production when the collaboration did not work. For us, it is important that both participants and staff feel good during the recordings,” says Catrin.
