Denmark got off to a tough start in the European Football Championship.
When you only managed to get 1-1 in the opening match against Slovenia.
Afterwards, a clear Danish anger is directed after the disappointment in the first match.
At first, the Danes got off to a great start at the European Football Championship in the meeting with Slovenia. Christian Eriksen scored 1-0 already in the 17th minute of the match and that lead stood for a long time.
Denmark’s anger
But with less than a quarter of an hour left in the opening match, the Slovenians managed to equalize at 1-1 and Denmark never managed to recover from that blow. It was only one point and a difficult start to the championship for the red and whites, who still started against the group’s weakest opposition.
– Of course we would have preferred to win and it was a match that, if you looked at all the statistics and numbers, we should win most of the times, says the Danish national team captain Kasper Hjulmand afterwards.

The fullback was all the more irritated Victor Kristiansen who got really pissed off at his Danish compatriots. When he faced the press after the 1-1 match, he was asked why Denmark lost control of the game when they took the lead and then answered angrily.
– Is the expectation that we will dominate all 90 minutes?, says the Dane according to Expressen.
– It is only the questions that are asked, that the expectations are that Denmark will dominate the matches for 90 minutes. That’s how I perceive them.
“What you want”
The anger was clear in Kristiansen, who was also asked if they got nervous out on the field, again he gave an irritated answer.
– No, but that’s the story you’d like to have. That something happened in the second half and then you have written your story, says the Danish national team player.
– I think we came out well in the second half and attacked. Slovenia is also good. And as I said, you can’t dominate a match for 90 minutes.
