Three people died in the shooting on Sunday evening, said Copenhagen’s police chief Søren Thomassen.

Witnesses have told the Danish media that more than a hundred people rushed to the exit of the shopping center when the first shots were heard.
The police received the first alarm at 18:37 Finnish time. The police arrested the suspected perpetrator near the highway exit thirteen minutes later, at 18:48.
The suspect acted alone – the police have a huge investigation underway
The police have arrested one person in connection with the shooting. The suspect is a 22-year-old native of Denmark. The preliminary investigation by the police shows that he acted alone. However, the authorities are still investigating whether the man could have had accomplices.
According to the police, the suspect was in possession of a rifle and ammunition.

A detention hearing will be held on Monday. The man is at least suspected of murder, but additional charges may still be known.
