The tough roguelite “Darkest Dungeon 2” will soon get its first DLC on Steam. A trailer shows the two new classes, but one isn’t all that new.

What is Darkest Dungeon 2?

    Developer “Red Hook Studios” announced the first paid DLC for “Darkest Dungeon 2”. It’s called “The Binding Blade” and is scheduled to release on Steam in December of this year.

    The content of this DLC is primarily 2 new characters: the duelist (originally: “The Duelist”) and the crusader (originally: “The Crusader”).

    Who are the characters? The Duelist is a new class. To adapt to every situation, she moves to different fighting positions and switches between defensive and aggressive stances.

    The second class should look familiar to fans of the predecessor. Because there the crusader was considered one of the strongest classes in the game. The concept is reminiscent of a classic paladin. With righteous fury, he faces his enemies in close combat or supports his companions by strengthening and healing them.

    What does the community say? The duo is particularly celebrated by players who have played the first part of “Darkest Dungeon”. “An old friend returning and a new hero coming along, I can’t wait for the release,” writes one user on YouTube.
