Otto Invenius and Campbell Wright have long been friends. Invenius praises Wright as a really nice friend.

So far, the biggest surprise in the World Biathlon World Championships has been the 22-year-old US Campbell Wrightwho has already taken two silver medals.

Wright took silver in both a quick trip and chase that won the Norwegian star Johannes Thingnes Bö.

TV broadcasts revealed that Wright and Finnish shooter skier Otto Invenius are good friends.

Invenius had to get out of the World Cup due to illness, but told the background of friendship.

– We’ve been friends for a long time. We met at the youth competition and we have been closer in recent years. Now, in the fall, I went to train for a month in the US. I was with the US team and Campbell was there for a month, Invenius says.

– We have a good little boy to move.

Invenius praises Wright as a really nice friend.

-He’s a very nice feet on the ground. I would say that it is difficult for anyone to hate anyone.

Wright’s success came as a surprise to Invenius.

– I really couldn’t wait, but it has come to be noticed that anything can come from it. You can see what will sometimes be in five years if you can already be in silver a couple of times in the World Cup. An incredible potential.

Invenius says interesting information that Wright is not a particularly tough trainee.

– I bet the US team has much tougher trainers. He does smartly. When you are a little semi -fit and otherwise strained, you can rest. Campbell is one of the best to listen to his own body.

Invenius has already been able to practice

The success of the training buddy has also given Invenius new enthusiasm.

– I’ve been really inspired by watching the races on the TV. It would make me want to be there.

Invenius was properly ill before the race, but the situation has gone better.

– I’ve already been able to do the first power training, but the recovery is still quite slow. If the World Cup had been a couple of weeks later, I would have been able to compete. Then the next World Cup races are already, so the gaze will be moved to them.

However, skipping between the World Championships is not so annoying, as Invenius does not yet consider that he is fighting for, for example, medalists.

-At this point, the World Cup is just as important to me as the World Cup.

Wright promised to call Invenius on EPN’s TV broadcast. However, the man has had a hard spin on.

– I sent a message and said “probably drowning in the messages, you don’t have to answer”. I try not to disturb too much during the race. He is the type that he does not put terribly pressure on anything. It just goes and does.
