As soon as the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi were released on Disney+, one name caused a stir: Leia Organa. The Princess of Alderaan plays an important role in the new Star Wars series. At the age of ten we meet her on her home planet before she is kidnapped by mean bounty hunters.

The young Leia is played by Vivien Lyra Blair, who has appeared in several major productions made a name as a child star Has. In the Obi-Wan series, she takes on her biggest role to date. She is the third actress to portray Leia in a live-action project, following Carrie Fisher and Ingvild Deila (Double in Rogue One).

Vivien Lyra Blair became born on June 4, 2012. She made her debut in front of the camera in the 2017 comedy Band Aid before being cast as Serenity Jones in the 2018 six-part miniseries Waco. The same year saw the release of her most important role to date: Bird Box.
In the Netflix apocalyptic thriller, Blair appears as Daughter of Sandra Bullock’s protagonist in appearance. Also out on Netflix is the superhero film We Can Be Heroes. It stars Blair as Guppy, the daughter of Lavagirl and Sharkboy from The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.

Blair is almost the same age as young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She plays the character
quick-witted, skeptical and curious. What is particularly amazing is how much she resembles Carrie Fisher. Their costumes also reference iconic Leia outfits from the original trilogy, such as the green Endor look in Return of the Jedi.
Leia’s adoptive parents, Bail and Breha Organa, are played by Jimmy Smits and Simone Kessell in the Obi-Wan series. Smits previously appeared in the role in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. At that time he received Leia on Alderaan together with Rebecca Jackson Mendoza to hide her from Darth Vader.
Obi-Wan Kenobi celebrated on May 27, 2022 premiered on Disney+.
