“This is not fun, this is extremely serious”

YouTuber Dream is one of the biggest Minecraft content creators in the world, but he’s currently embroiled in a serious controversy. An account on Twitter and a voice actor for children’s series have made allegations against him. Dream, 24, says this isn’t normal online fun, but rather it’s weighing heavily on him, his friends and family.

What are these accusations?

  • Published via an anonymous Twitter account on November 20th. a post that accused YouTuber Dream of sending inappropriate messages to teenagers. This is said to have happened via Snapchat (via x.com).
  • It is also alleged that he made moaning noises, which were also spread in the posts.
  • The tweet spread rapidly. Two hashtags “#dreamisagroomer” and “DREAM DID WHAT” then trended in North America. A “groomer” is an adult who manipulates children into committing sexual acts.

What else plays into this? Dream is also currently under discussion because he is involved in a bizarre argument with a voice actor for children’s series: Nicolas Cantu (20) voices characters like “Gumball Watterson” in “The Amazing World of Gumball” or Diego Marquez in “Dora and Friends.”

The voice actor also accuses Dream of being a pedophile.

Dream, on the other hand, says the young man is “a terrible person,” physically attacked him and racially insulted an Uber driver.

Dream posted a video of Cantu saying some very strange stuff:

What do others make of it? The allegations against Dream are a hit with some people on YouTube and Twitter. The controversial content creator Destiny, permanently banned from Twitch even after making transphobic statements, says: If you hide your face behind a mask, so many people trust you to do anything.

In addition, Dream also cheated in Minecraft speed runs, so he assumes that Dream is guilty and that he probably used narcotics to sedate his victims.

This is what the YouTuber himself says: The streamer now expressed outrage at these allegations in a tweet. He was physically attacked by a “drunk voice actor” and then a burner account anonymously made allegations against him on Twitter.

This isn’t just “the joke of the week”, “Hahaha, a Minecrafter YouTuber is a pedo” or “Haha, how embarrassing, the guy who did speedruns gets beaten up by Gumball” – these are extremely serious allegations, which affected the lives of many: the lives of his friends, his family, his employees and it was terrible for all actual victims of abuse. He wants to make it clear in a YouTube video what the allegations are about and refute them. He is not a pedophile, nor has he groomed anyone. People should hold off on making judgments until they see his video.
