The pension in 2025 will be increased

On 19 December, the Swedish Pensions Agency presented its calculations for the coming year. For the vast majority, the change means that the increase is higher than this year’s inflation.

“Immediately after the turn of the year, pensioners can log in to pensionsmyndigheten.se to see their personal amount for public pension,” the authority writes in a press release.

This is how much the pension increases with 2025

Most pensioners, more specifically around 80 percent of all pensioners born in 1958 or earlier and who live in Sweden, receive an increase after the turn of the year in the total pension. Provided that you draw a full pension. According to the authority, it is the general pension and occupational pension that will increase by between SEK 330 and 1,530.

– The income pension for 2025 will increase more than inflation. Next year, the premium pension will also contribute a historically large plus to the total pension for the vast majority. Most pensioners therefore receive a total pension increase that, on average, exceeds the development of prices, he said Alma Masicanalyst at the Swedish Pensions Agency, i the press release on December 19.

However, how big the individual increase will be will differ from person to person. The reason for that is, according to the Pensions Authority, that different parts are affected by different factors.
