There is a Lightfall event in Destiny 2 that is only available at certain times. It’s guaranteed to drop old and new exotics for players, but it’s rare and hard to spot. But a player has now created an ingenious solution that makes it easier for you.
Which event is it about? With the DLC “Lightfall”, Bungie has created another way to farm exotics on the destination Neomuna. This is the Exclusive and Public Event “Vex Battlegroups Arrive”.
The event is of interest to the Guardians mainly because of its rewards, because if it is successfully completed, a piece of exotic armor is guaranteed to drop. And that’s unique in Destiny 2 so far, because before Lightfall, no activity was guaranteed to drop an Exotic.
Destiny 2 Rare Event Was Rumored But Really Exists – It’s bloody tough, but worth it
The best thing about the new event, however, is that since yesterday’s midseason update, it can also drop the new exotics that you have not yet purchased. Something that until now was only possible in Lost Sectors where the drop is not guaranteed.
The new Vex event is different, as it’s accessible to every player – so you don’t have to do it alone. The biggest problem so far has been finding it accurately because it’s super rare.
However, one player has now found an ingenious solution that makes it much easier for you not to miss the event on Neomuna. MeinMMO has tested the player solution and presents it to you.
Discord bot tracks down the rare Exo event for you
Here’s how you won’t miss the Exo event again: In Reddit, the player Buuz135 presented the Destiny 2 community with his simple and ingenious solution to the event’s findability problem.
As the player reports on Reddit, he created a Discord bot called “Asher Mir”. This bot uses simple image recognition and regularly checks for you if there is a new event on the Neomuna map and if it is a normal or the rare Vex event.
His idea was enthusiastically received, rewarded with many upvotes and is now being used eagerly by the keepers to farm the old and new exotics.
From what we have been able to test so far, the bot works perfectly. You can also “hijack” it on your own Discord server and use it there as well.
How to get event information: In order not to miss any more events, players must join the Buzz135 Discord server. The AsherMir bot regularly posts the events there in an announcement channel.
If you want, you can also bring the bot to your own server and then let it post the information there in a channel of your choice.
This is how tough it gets at the event: The event itself lasts exactly 10 minutes. During this time, you must take care of and defeat 6 large minotaurs. The level of difficulty is crisp and challenging. The opponent’s power level rating is 1,810 and you also have to factor in Neomuna’s open world penalty.
The mechanic is to keep breaking the minotaur’s shields and then deal damage. So if you want to get the loot, you will almost certainly need the help of other guardians or your fireteam to make it happen. However, with the help of the new bot, this could soon be easier if more Guardians can find the event quickly.
However, there are also three small catches that should not go unmentioned.
However, for anyone who has always missed the Vex Strike Force event up until now or didn’t know how to find it, the Asher Mir Discord bot is definitely worth a try. With his help, you can better concentrate on the essentials: The fight against the 6 big Vex Minotaurs, so that the exotic drops safely.
Is the use of the “Asher Mir” bot allowed? Bungie, the developers of Destiny 2, have not yet commented on the bot. But as long as it doesn’t violate the Terms of Service, it should continue to be a useful tool for Guardians, just like other third-party solutions.
So, with this new Discord bot, Destiny 2 players have created another solution to overcome the obstacles set by Bungie and help other Guardians.
How do you find the solution to find the special exo event? Are you going to use the bot right away? Or has it not been difficult for you to discover the lucrative event right away? Feel free to tell us in the comments.
Destiny 2 probably doesn’t have a happy ending for the streamer Ekuegan, because Bungie has now reacted to his ban one last time:
