This is how you get the achievement “Mind Blown”

Only a few players have unlocked the achievement “Mind Blown” in Baldur’s Gate 3. We’ll reveal how you get it – and what you have to do to get it.

There are tons of achievements in Baldur’s Gate 3, and some are harder to earn than others. True achievement collectors don’t give up and try to collect all the achievements – including the “Mind Blown” achievement, in German “Where love falls”. For this achievement you have to do something rather unusual: you have to romance the Emperor, your guardian.

The achievement is quite rare – on Steam only 9.5% of players have collected it.

Only just under 9.5% have achieved success – making it quite rare.

In this guide we will tell you how to achieve success.

Mind Blown – Guide to Success in Baldur’s Gate 3

When can you get the achievement? Obtaining the achievement “Mind Blown” (“Where Love Falls”) is only possible in Act 3, i.e. when you reach the city of Baldur’s Gate. But you can meet the requirements for this beforehand.

What do you have to do for “Mind Blown”? In order to be successful, two main criteria must be met:

  • The Emperor must be positive towards you.
  • You must have found and looted the Emperor’s hideout.
  • First of all, you must be friendly towards the Emperor. Whenever he meets you, accept his ideas and be cooperative. This can also mean using the mind flayer larvae to unlock illithid abilities. The partial transformation into an illithid at the end of Act 2 should also be accepted.

A date with the Emperor isn’t that difficult to get.

The second requirement is that you find the Emperor’s former hideout in the city of Baldur’s Gate. To do this, visit the “Elfsong Tavern” and enter the basement. Here you should have an area-of-effect spell ready to quickly defeat the many rats – but they are not a major threat.

Now stay in the west of the room, where you will see a small, somewhat collapsed passage. There’s a switch there. Push it one room further through the large barrel into the next room.

Here you have to fight a comparatively difficult battle because some Githyanki are attacking you. It’s best to first kill the two portal masters who are constantly calling for reinforcements before you take out the others.

Once you’ve done that, cross this room too. At the end, behind the statue, you can discover another button with a Perception roll. Press it to reach the secret hiding place.

In this room are many of the Emperor’s possessions. Interact with everyone and loot them. This completes the quest and has fulfilled all conditions.

You might not want to know exactly what the Emperor is doing with his tentacles in the scene.

What do you have to do afterwards? You can leave the place and now take a “long rest”. With a bit of luck, the scene with the Emperor should now start, in which you have the option to get closer to him and enter into a relationship with him. The corresponding answers are relatively clear.

Note that the scene may not trigger immediately on the first night. Sometimes such events appear a little delayed or another scene takes priority.

Your gender or race doesn’t play a role in success.

Please note, however, that your night with the Emperor will not go unnoticed. Because you’ve apparently taken so much interest in him that he briefly forgets to shield you from the rest of the world – so that your companions can see what you’ve been up to with the mind flayer. If you’re already in a relationship, this night could have some awkward follow-up conversations.

Have you already unlocked the achievement? And did you enjoy your night with the Emperor?

Only just under 3% of players have an even rarer success.
