This is how you get lots of packs for Black Friday

November 29, 2024 is Black Friday. The discount campaign could also play a big role again in EA FC 25. On MeinMMO we show you how you can collect as many packs as possible for Black Friday in Ultimate Team.

What happens on Black Friday in Ultimate Team? Black Friday in EA FC has been a very fast-paced event in recent years, sometimes delivering new Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) every hour. This gives you many opportunities to craft worthwhile upgrade packs with the chance of becoming strong professionals.

Using the My MMO live ticker for Black Friday for FC 24 from last year, you can get an impression of what packs the event had to offer.

To make pack crafting really worthwhile for you, there will probably be not only a Best-of-Team-the-Week (TOTW) with strong special cards on Black Friday, but also another promo. In FC 24, Black Friday for Ultimate Team started in the afternoon, followed in the evening by the Thunderstruck event with expensive live tickets.

So that you are optimally prepared for the eventful weekend, we will show you how you can collect a lot of packs by Black Friday 2024 (November 29th) to increase your chances of finding strong players.

3 options to collect packs for Black Friday

You can get packs in FC 25 in 3 different ways:

  • as rewards from the game modes
  • Division Rivals
  • UT Champions Qualification/Finals (Weekend League)
  • Squad Battles
  • Online/Single Player Draft
  • as rewards from goals
  • 1. Rush Week Tasks
  • 2. Live Tasks
  • as rewards from the Season Pass
  • Packs as rewards from game modes

1st Division Rivals: In Rivals you should try to reach at least 15 points for the weekly bonus in your division. If you want even more and better packs, you can also go to the 35 point mark.

You can earn the rewards just in time before Black Friday until Thursday and pick them up from 10:00 a.m.

    2. UT Champions: If you get your victories in Rivals, you will also receive points to take part in qualifying for the Champions. No matter how you perform, you can also expect packs as rewards in this mode.

Your goal should of course be to qualify for the Champions Finals, i.e. the Weekend League, with 3 wins from 5 games. Here you can earn strong rewards with as many victories as possible over the weekend. You can see which packs you get for so many victories here: Weekend League has new rewards – all rewards at a glance

    3. Squad Battles: This single-player mode is particularly suitable for players who don’t necessarily want to duel with real opponents. Here you can relax and compete against the AI at your desired difficulty and get a lot of points in up to 14 games per week in order to achieve the highest possible rank for good rewards.

To benefit from the packs before Black Friday, you must have completed your games by this Sunday (November 24, 2024) in order to claim your rewards from 10:00 a.m. in the morning.

    4. Online/Single Player Draft: This mode has been somewhat forgotten, but could be a good opportunity to save up packs for Black Friday. In the draft, you build your team by first choosing one of 5 random formations, before choosing between 5 randomly generated players for each position as well as the substitution and reserve bench.

However, you need an entry fee of 15,000 coins to participate in the draft. The rewards in the online draft are only really worth it when you reach the third round of a total of 4 rounds. However, if you lose, you are out immediately.

In this mode you also have the opportunity to play against the AI with the single player draft. However, the rewards here are significantly worse than in online mode.

We therefore recommend the draft for experienced players to collect packs for Black Friday because the risk of losing coins is too high.

    Packs as rewards from objectives

The goals offer another great way to collect packs for Black Friday.

    1. Rush Week Tasks: The new Rush mode offers you a mix of packs and season points (SP) for the season pass in the objectives every week. To complete the tasks, you usually just have to play games and contribute goals/assists for your team. With every game you also collect the necessary rush points to complete further tasks.

    2. Live Tasks: These tasks usually appear every week as part of a new event and also require you to complete games and provide goals/assists. However, these goals usually have specific requirements regarding your team or the mode you have to play for them.

Some tasks also refer to time-limited SBCs. You should then keep an eye on these so as not to miss out on the rewards.

Packs as rewards from the Season Pass

As you play the modes and complete the tasks, you will automatically receive season points for the season pass. This has additional professional packs ready for you at many levels. The more you level up the Season Pass, the better the rewards will be.

It might be worth saving all of these packs until Black Friday given the potential best of TOTW and a possible further promo with strong special cards.

Should you trade your players for SBCs before Black Friday? We would recommend that you keep your players in the club until Black Friday and not exchange them for any upgrade SBCs. Experience has shown that SBCs offer you better value for money on Black Friday than the usual ones.

The exception is the “top games”, because these actually always offer you packs with a higher value than the players you traded in.

This gives you a whole range of options for getting as many packs as possible for Black Friday. On Black Friday itself there will probably also be special promo packs available to you in the shop.
