The free mercenary Flay is a great help for your team. We’ll show you how to unlock it in Jagged Alliance 3.
Who is Flay? Flay is a sociopathic hunter looking for a new challenge. After a disappointing collaboration with poachers, he has decided to go manhunt and hunt down his former hunting buddies.
In Jagged Alliance 3 there are many mercenaries that you can recruit throughout the game. You can unlock a large part of them in the normal way and simply order them in the browser at the mercenary agency. They cost good money for every day they work for you. For some free mercenaries you have to solve hidden tasks. Here we explain how Larry does it in Jaggged Alliance 3.
Flay is a good marksman who competes for you at no weekly cost. It is enough for him who he can hunt for the prey that the hunter still lacks: people. We show you in the overview how you recruit him as a Merc.
Unlock Flay
You have to do this: Before you can recruit Flay, you must travel to Poacher Camp at coordinates C5. Here it is important to kill all opponents so that you can then chat with the leader Hyena Gilbert. He’s talking to you about Flay and wants you to find and kill him.
Now your task is to find three corpses of poachers with antlers. Because they were killed by Flay. You can find a light at C6, east of the camp. You can find the other two bodies in the northwest at B4.
After interacting with all three corpses, Flay will appear. Now you can talk to him and you have to be careful what you click on.
Important: You need a character on your team that has at least 90 Wisdom. If you don’t have a mercenary with such a high value, you can hire the mechanic Barry. It is quite cheap and can easily reach the team from Sector B2.
You have to ask this: Ask Flay if he wants to go hunting with you. Flay agrees to the suggestion, but wants him to be able to keep the trophies of his killed opponents. Don’t ask him why he doesn’t hunt the Legion instead.
Now you’ve unlocked Flay for your team and you can look forward to a Merc that’s great to use as a sniper. He gets along wonderfully with opponents at a distance, which should be an asset for many teams.
How do you like the wacky story about Flay? Will you bring the mercenary into your team or are you rather reluctant after his backstory?
