In Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, not only can you customize and colorize your weapons in the Armory, you can also customize your Clantag. We’ll show you a trick on how to make it more colorful.
What is a clan tag? The clan tag is a small cosmetic and above all classifying information for players in CoD. With it, players can show other players which clan they belong to. This tag then sits next to your nickname in square brackets and can be examined by any player.
However, that’s not enough as fans have figured out how to colorize the clan tag to display their clan title in bright colors. We’ll show you how to do this trick.
This is how you can color your clan tag and username
What do I need for coloring? All you need to color your clantag is a keyboard and a mouse.
How does the trick work? In order to bring color into your clan tag, you must first open your barracks in Modern Warfare 2. You can control this if you open your menu window and then switch to the tab of your rank. Once there, you will then have the choice to customize many different things, including your clan tag.
Now you have to go to the menu item “Edit clan tag” and open it. Now the editing window will open and you can enter your clan tag, but now comes the trick. You start your clan tag with an arrow pointing up “^” and then a number between 1 and 8. After that you can complete and save your clan tag.
Note that this will also change the color of your username. If you no longer want the color, you can delete the arrow and the number and everything will go back to how it was before.
How does this work on PS5 and Xbox? In order to equip your account with cool colors on your consoles as well, you have to connect a mouse and a keyboard. Use the mouse to select “Edit clan tag” and then use your keyboard to type in the code we have listed.
