As of September 1, 2024, a rule was changed that applies to everyone flying from Terminal 5 at Arlanda.
From the summer of 2023, it was allowed to bring cups that contained more than 100 milliliters – something that is changing now.
It is now not allowed to carry liquids of more than 100 milliliters through the security check, which means that any water bottles, liquid skin care products and drinks must be thrown away beforehand.
In addition to Terminal 5 at Arlanda, Sälen Airport is also affected by the new rule.

This has caused the prices of drinks after the security check at Arlanda to rise.
News24 have talked to Ola Söderlindhousehold economist at the comparison site Zmarta, who investigated the prices of soft drinks and mineral water.
– The fact that prices are significantly higher at the airport is due to two things. Number one is because you can, because the competition is limited. Number two is that airports are a high-security zone, which means that even food and drink must be checked before it is brought in. This means that it can be more time-consuming to deliver goods here and time is money, he tells Nyheter24.
