This week, Samsung released new details about the upcoming Android 15-based One UI 7 update.
The beta version is now available on the Galaxy S24 series in Germany, India, South Korea, Poland, the UK and the US.
The full version will arrive in the first quarter of 2025, and it is only then that Swedes will be able to take part in it.

News24 have been in contact with Anders ElmbyNordic manager for Samsung’s mobile division, who talks about the idea behind the AI-heavy update.
“So far, only the beta version has been released, but when the full version becomes available, I think many users will appreciate the new AI-based design. With One UI 7, the AI functions become more intuitive and easily accessible thanks to a redesigned interface built around Galaxy AI,” he writes in an email to Nyheter24.
What do you think Samsung’s phones will look like in the future with AI?
“What we can say with certainty is that AI will pave the way for new ways for users to interact with each other – both online and offline. It will fundamentally change our lives and the way the societies we live in work. And most certainly we will see new form factors as communication and interaction become more multimodal.”

Samsung boss: That’s why Samsung is the best
It’s not just Samsung users who can expect more AI in their phones next year.
Basically all mobile giants are betting on the technology. Swedish iPhones will, for example, get Apple Intelligence in the spring, something News24 previously reported on.

But for Anders Elmby, it is clear that Samsung does it best, not least from a security and privacy perspective.
Why choose a Samsung phone?
“There are two main reasons to choose a Samsung smartphone: we do not compromise on security or customer experience. With our phones, you can feel confident that your information is protected and that you receive regular security and software updates that improve your phone over time. There are advantages that also lie in time,” concludes Anders Elmby writing to Nyheter24.
