This is how to leave a WhatsApp group without getting burned: the silent and discreet alternative

This is how to leave a WhatsApp group without getting

We all have WhatsApp groups in which we actively participate, and then, there are those that we follow from afar, because we have been added, but that we do not dare leave for fear of being noticed . Here’s how to leave on the sly, without any message appearing.

“Marion has left the group” or “Marion has left”: this is the message that appears when a person leaves a group conversation on WhatsApp. A little sentence that prevents us all, for the most part, from daring to take the plunge by leaving other groups to which we have been invited.

Among the groups followed, there are of course those of the family, which prove very useful for sending photos of our private life (rather than on social networks), and of our respective children, while getting news of the each other. And then, there are the groups of friends that we no longer really follow: we were added for example for the organization of a birthday and since then, the people who appear there and whom we ultimately know little, have talk every day. And what’s more annoying than feeling overwhelmed by all those notifications and unread messages. Furthermore, if you leave the conversation, you will appear, in the eyes of the other members of the group, to be the person who looks down on everyone, who doesn’t want to talk to anyone and who is tired of seeing all these uninteresting messages. So how do you leave a WhatsApp group without being noticed?

Many people have already tested this tip which allows them to start a conversation without offending anyone, in complete discretion. If you are not yet familiar with this manipulation, know that you only need a few clicks to no longer see the messages displayed. Start by opening the top menu in the group chat and selecting “muted notifications”. You can choose the duration: “always”, for a week or 8 hours. Also don’t forget to uncheck the option to show notifications.

You will no longer receive notifications from the group in question, but it will continue to appear in your discussion thread. To no longer see it at all, you can choose to archive it by long-pressing the group. On iPhone, the process is just as simple: click on the group name at the top, go to “notifications” and click “yes” in “silent mode”. Please note that you can return to the discussion at any time if you wish. A discreet and effective alternative, both reversible, which will allow you to sort and see more clearly on a daily basis.
