On September 27, it was finally time for the long-awaited third season of “The Thin Blue Line” to premiere on SVT.
In the main roles we see Amanda Jansson (Sarah), Oscar Töringe (Magnus), Per Lasson (Jesse), Sandra Stojilikovic (Danny), Anna Sise (Faye) and Mustafa Al-Mashhadani (Khalid).

The third season, however, will be the very last of the popular police series, which is now closed. Creator of the series Cilla Jackert tells TT that it is a decision that SVT has made.
– I will answer diplomatically in this way – that this is the series and the characters that I have been with the longest. Actually for ten years, since 2014, but exclusively since 2018, so I think it’s quite nice to leave room for new fantasy characters in my head. Actually!, says Jackert.

Amanda Jansson: “We are associated with Sara and Magnus”
The TV audience has been crazy about the couple Sara and Magnus, who are played by Amanda Jansson and Oscar Töringe. When the series is now closed, the acting duo also splits.
– Oscar and I talked about it. It is not a given to put us in a duo in another movie or another series in the future. Because we are now associated with Sara and Magnus. So it will probably be a while before we work together again, says Jansson to TT.

News24 met Oscar Töringe in connection with a press meeting at SVT after the summer, and then asked him about a potential fourth season, and about the “Thin Blue Line” gang’s relationship behind the cameras.
How would you describe the third season of “The Thin Blue Line” in three words?
– Drugs, love and bad weather.
Will there be a season four, or does the bag start tying here at season three?
– It is tied and it is tied. But that’s not really my decision to make. As has been communicated, this is the last season that we are doing.

Do you actors hang out privately outside of filming?
– Yes, absolutely. We do. We all have good contact.
Do you have a “Thin Blue Line” group chat, and what is it called?
– There is. It is being updated because there are new funny actors and people in our family, but now it’s called TBL3 maybe.
Who is most active in the group chat?
– Mustafa I would say.
