This is how the National Board of Health and Welfare should counter disinformation about social services – seek out embassies

• Develop proposals for measures to strengthen long-term trust in social services among children, young people and families who need support and help

• Identify and support the development of effective and sustainable working methods that can contribute to creating increased trust in social services

• Investigate and compile what information is disseminated about social services’ treatment of families with different ethnic backgrounds, religions or other beliefs

• Draw attention to the need for different kinds of cultural competence within social services

• Via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, convey information to Sweden’s foreign authorities and foreign embassies in Sweden about the tasks and responsibilities of social services

By 10 December 2026 at the latest, the National Board of Health and Welfare must give a final report on the assignment.
