This is how the mechanics work in Season 7

In Season 7 of Diablo 4 there are Witch Power powers that you can equip. You can find out how you get the powers and how they work here on MeinMMO.

What are Witchcraft Powers? The powers of the witch power are basically the new mechanic in Season 7 of Diablo 4. You can take advantage of the powers and learn special skills. There are three or four different types of Witchcraft powers:

  • Disgusting: Harnesses magic that unleashes destructive energies and polymorphism.
  • psyche: Use defensive powers of mind and soul to create visions, focus attacks, and induce madness in your enemies.
  • Growth and decay: Uses magic that heals and damages by increasing health and resources. These incantations can cause terrible illnesses and disorders.
  • In addition, you can get rare, lost powers of witchcraft discover.
  • How do I learn Witchcraft powers? To learn new powers of witch power, you farm the season reputation. You will gain reputation, or Restless Rot, for completing seasonal Whisper tasks and killing the Head Rot enemies. You sacrifice the “Restless Rot” at the altar on the Whispering Tree for new witch powers. This way you can also improve existing powers.

    Below we list all the powers of the witch power including their functions. As of now (January 16, 2025), there are a total of 25 witchcraft powers in Season 7.

    All 25 witch powers and their functions

    Blizzard announced a total of 25 Witchcraft powers and readjusted them after the PTR. Another force was presented in the “Campfire Chat” livestream on January 16, 2025 on YouTube. If additional forces are added, we will add them to the list.

    Abhorrent forces

  • Firebat minions
  • A deadly swarm of fire bats attack enemies every 3 seconds, dealing a total of X fire damage over the course of a full attack.
  • From higher ranks: Enemies attacked 5 times by Firebat minions are stunned for 3 seconds.
  • Abyssal resonance
  • For every 250 resources consumed, unleash an explosion that deals X Shadow Damage. Each explosion triggered within 10 seconds of the last one increases the size and damage of the effect by 130%. Stackable up to 3 times.
  • From rank 10: The third explosion pulls enemies towards you before the detonation.
  • Wave of lamentation
  • Unleash a wave of wails when you damage an enemy with your skills. Wave of Wailing deals an additional X Shadow damage and spreads that damage to all other enemies of the same type in the immediate vicinity.
  • From rank 5: With each transmission, the damage increases by 15%. Guaranteed to be transmitted 5 times. Can hit the same target multiple times.
  • Cleansing touch
  • Vile effects deal X more damage against Head Rotters.
  • From rank 10: This damage bonus now affects all monsters.
  • Shaken soul
  • Vile effects inflict vulnerability on enemies for X sec.
  • From rank 10: Damage from Psychic effects and from Growth and Decay also cause vulnerability for half the duration.
  • Spell of Flames
  • Lucky Strike: Has a chance of up to X to apply Bane of Flames to the target. Spell of Flames deals 1,600 additional Fire damage each time you deal damage to the target.
  • From Rank 7: Bane of Flames explodes on a critical hit, dealing damage to all nearby enemies.
  • Doomball
  • A baleful ball of pure vile energy orbits you, dealing X Fire damage to any enemy it touches. The doom orb can fly towards distant enemies and return again.
  • From rank 5: If bosses suffer damage or are killed, the orb is strengthened by 5%. At 100%, the orb explodes, dealing 5,200 damage to nearby enemies before reforming after 3 seconds.
  • Powers of the psyche

  • Life band
  • Automatically binds your life force to up to 3 nearby enemies. X of the damage you take is shared as physical damage with the linked targets. It is not possible to establish a lifeline to opposing players.
  • From rank 15: Link damage is guaranteed to critically hit 10 seconds after using a defensive, macabre or deception skill.
  • Spell of fragmentation
  • Damage caused by your sorcerer’s power effects applies the spell of shattering to enemies, causing them to deal X less damage for 5 sec.
  • From Rank 8: When a head rotter is dispelled, all damage also critically hits for 5 seconds.
  • Aura of misfortune
  • There is an X chance of interrupting the attacks of nearby enemies. Does not apply to bosses.
  • From rank 5: Also increases your movement speed by 5% and slows enemies by 30%.
  • Aura of lament
  • When you hit an enemy, they are subjected to an aura of lamentation, slowing them and all nearby enemies by 70%. For each enemy in the Aura of Lament, you gain 3 Primary Resource per second. If the original enemy dies, Aura of Lament transfers to another nearby enemy while retaining its duration. Lasts for X seconds.
  • A maximum of 1 opponent can be under the effect of the aura at the same time. Can only occur every 30 seconds.
  • Vengeful spirit
  • A Vengeful Spirit appears every 19 seconds for X seconds. As long as it is active, the ghost takes all damage in your place.
  • From Rank 5: When the Vengeful Spirit’s health is completely depleted, it charges at up to 8 enemies, dealing 2,000 Shadow damage.
  • Twilight protection
  • Every X seconds you gain a barrier that absorbs 100 damage for 5 seconds.
  • From rank 12: Twilight Ward reflects enemy projectiles as long as it is active.
  • Willpower
  • When you kill an enemy, your next Overwhelm deals X% more damage, up to 100%.
  • From rank 4: The damage bonus applies to the next 2 overpowers instead of 1.
  • In the “Campfire Chat” livestream on YouTube on November 21st, Blizzard presented four of the witch powers:

    “Growth and Decline” forces

  • Poison frog minion
  • Summons a Poison Frog minion that attacks enemies, poisoning them for X damage over 3 seconds. Upon death, the frog explodes, instantly dealing X poison damage to nearby enemies. The explosion always hits critically.
  • From rank 5: The Poison Frog minion also pulls enemies towards it and taunts them for 1 second.
  • Soul Harvest
  • Each time you use a skill with a cooldown, you feed off the life force of nearby enemies, increasing your primary stat by 3% per monster for X sec.
  • From rank 9: The duration of Soul Harvest does not decrease as long as there are enemies nearby.
  • Spell of Whispers
  • When you deal damage to an enemy, you apply Bane of Whispers to them. The next time damage is dealt, Bane of Whispers deals X Shadow damage. The spell of whispers then spreads to another enemy up to 6 times. Bane of Whispers can only be inflicted once every 5 seconds.
  • From rank 7: After the spell has spread to 6 enemies, it jumps back to you, granting you X steeling and removing all loss of control and negative status effects.
  • Decay increase
  • Your sorcerer power effects deal X of the damage dealt over 5 seconds. The type of damage depends on your class.
  • If one of your damage over time effects exceeds 85% of the target’s total health, it dies immediately.
  • growth
  • Using an Ultimate Skill empowers your minions and companions with dark magic. They grow larger and deal X bonus damage. Lasts 15 seconds.
  • From rank 11: They also gain a 100% critical strike chance.
  • Aura of withdrawal
  • Summons an aura of decay that deals X poison damage to enemies every second.
  • From Rank 10: Each time Aura of Drain deals damage, you are healed for 1% of your maximum health.
  • The cycle
  • Dealing damage with your skills has a 15% chance of causing a flower to sprout from the ground. If an enemy is nearby, the flower deals X poison damage to that enemy over 5 seconds. If an ally is nearby, the flower heals all nearby allies for 6% of maximum health. After use, the flower withers. A flower can grow per enemy once every 2 seconds.
  • From rank 5: Damage and healing affect all enemies or allies near the flower.
  • Lost Powers

  • Breath of the Circle
  • When you deal damage or loss of control effects with one of your sorcerer’s power effects, your attack speed increases by X for 10 sec. Stacks once per unique sorcerer’s power effect.
  • The different witch power effects are Vile, Psychic, and Growth and Decay.
  • From rank 8: As long as bonuses from all 3 witch power effects are active, you receive a lucky hit chance of 40%.
  • Spell specialization
  • Increases the potency of your dispelling effects by X.
  • From Rank 10: Increases the critical strike chance against enemies affected by your banishing effects by 10%.
  • Aura specialization
  • The range of your aura effects is increased by X.
  • From Rank 10: Increases critical hit damage against enemies affected by your aura effects by 50%.
  • Piranhado
  • When an enemy is affected by both a spell and an aura effect, a Piranhado is summoned, drawing enemies towards it and dealing X physical damage over 12 seconds. Can occur every 20 seconds.
  • Rank 5: Piranhado moves towards nearby enemies.
