Last week, the government and Svenska kraftnät presented the new high-cost protection. It will be introduced in electricity price areas three and four and thus not in northern Sweden. The support, which is a total of SEK 55 billion, will be given to both households, companies, associations and organisations. About five million electricity customers will be entitled to some form of compensation. Even earlier this year, electricity customers were compensated – then with a maximum of SEK 6,000.
