After the Koran burning in Stockholm at the end of June, strong reactions from the outside world have been directed against Sweden’s legislation. Even in Sweden, there has been a clear increase in a short time among those who want to see a ban on Koran burning.
When SVT asks the parties in the Riksdag whether it should be allowed to burn holy scriptures in all situations, they all answer that Sweden must continue to protect freedom of expression. And as it stands today, there is no party that wants to change the current legislation.
However, some parties are open to clarifying the law or reviewing the interaction between different laws.
See how all parties in the Riksdag stand on the Koran burnings in the clip above.
