This is how SVT and TV4 share the Winter Olympics

Now it is clear with the distribution of sports in the 2026 Winter Olympics between SVT and TV4. Biathlon is broadcast on TV4, cross-country skiing on SVT and ice hockey is shared.

SVT has had biathlon in its tableau for several years when it comes to the World Cup and WC. But now it will be broadcast on TV4. Like the freestyle disciplines, snowboarding and the new Olympic discipline of ski mountaineering.

Parts of the ice hockey

Cross-country skiing and alpine skiing end up in SVT, just like figure skating. The channels share ice hockey and curling.

The Olympics will be held in Milan and in several locations in the mountains in and around Cortina d’Ampezzo from February 6-22, 2026.

Here is the full breakdown:

TV4: Ice hockey, biathlon, curling (ladies), freestyle (skicross, aerials, slopestyle, halfpipe and big air), snowboarding (parallel giant slalom, slopestyle, halfpipe, big air and snowboardcross), ski alpinism, luge and bobsled.

SVT: alpine skiing, ski jumping, curling (men’s and mixed), ice hockey, figure skating, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, hump course, short track, skeleton and skating.
