An important statement came from the Russian side about Türkiye-Russia relations. Spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mariya Zakharova stated that they focused on President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statements of his intention to develop mutually beneficial multilateral cooperation in relations with Turkey.
Zaharova answered questions on the agenda at the weekly press conference.
Answering a question about whether she expects the new government in Turkey to maintain balanced relations with Russia and the United States, Zaharova said, first of all, that Turkey’s elected President Erdogan said: stated that they are focused on their statements that they intend to continue to develop their multi-faceted cooperation.
