More and more shopping carts are disappearing from Ica Kvantum in Filipstad, something that has now become a costly problem for the store, which Filipstad’s newspaper was the first to report on.
– When the wagons go away, it will be a loss for us, because it is a big cost per wagon, says the Ica trader Christian Liljestrand to Filipstad’s newspaper.

That’s how much the shopping carts are worth
Each shopping cart is worth approximately SEK 2,000. Which causes the store to go backwards when several shopping carts disappear on a daily basis.
Sometimes customers come into the store who have done a reconnaissance on a shopping cart. Then the shop staff goes out by car and brings it home again, writes Filipstad’s newspaper.

– We often hear from kind customers that they have seen shopping carts in different places. And since we have a car for the online trade that is out and about, we can often also pick up the shopping carts, says Christian Liljestrand to Filipstad’s newspaper and continues:
– Sometimes, however, the carts are in places that are difficult to reach – and then we can’t do much about it.
