In Ludvika, two people work as field socionomists. Both have previously worked within the municipality’s social administration.
– It has been good to be outside more, it can be difficult to work and get an idea inside the office, says Malin Åström.
Would love to see field assistants
After a year with the new organization, she thinks there should be both field assistants and field socionomists. Then sociologists would still have the more comprehensive work and the assistants could be at the schools almost every day, as well as work evenings and weekends.
– I think you need to be out much more than the idea was that we would be in order to see what is happening and be able to direct the efforts.
