The Ringhals 4 nuclear power plant will not be able to start as planned after the summer’s annual maintenance after a component broke during the restart. Ringhals 4 was shut down in mid-August for annual maintenance and fuel change. In connection with a mandatory test when the plant was to be restarted after shutdown, the pressure vessel, which is one of the plant’s major components, was damaged.
