This is how crazy the new rocket-based weapon type from Season 23 is

Destiny 2 is known for its diverse selection of weapons, giving players numerous tactical options. In Season 23, a new, crazy type of weapon with a rocket-based housing is attracting a lot of attention. MeinMMO tells you how good the Owed Kindness weapon is and whether the effort is worth it.

What kind of new weapon type is this? In Season 23 of Destiny 2, the loot shooter’s arsenal has been expanded to include a brand new weapon type with a “rocket-carrying housing”.

The first weapon of its kind is Owed Kindness, a funky mix of the legendary Arc pistol and a rocket launcher that uses special ammo instead of primary ammo.

  • Your perk pool includes both typical rocket launcher perks such as high-velocity projectiles as well as perks such as “Direct Hit” or “Adagio”.
  • In addition, its fire rate of 120 is significantly slower than that of its counterparts, but it also deals strong single-shot damage with every bullet fired.
  • In Season 23 you should have the perfect tool against anti-barrier champions.
  • In this article we look at whether the weapon lives up to it. We’ll also take a closer look at the perks and tell you what you should bet on to get the most out of the weapon.

What makes the weapon so good? The 120 archetype boasts a solid rate of fire and high single-shot damage values. With precise shooting and well-balanced handling, it is largely suitable for PvE use, less so for PvP use.

  • Its special feature is the rocket-carrying housing, which fires self-propelled rocket ammunition.
  • The pistol rocket shots can not only crit, but also deal impact damage and a small AOE explosion.
  • Precision hits are not absolutely necessary with this weapon.
  • Added to this is incredible ammunition economy, which can amount to more than 50 rounds.
  • These are the Godrolls for “Owed Kindness”

It’s important to choose perks based on your preferred playstyle in order to unlock the full potential of the new weapon type in Destiny 2. However, most players have already identified their clear favorite weapon perk and that is Volt Shot.

This is the Godroll for PvE:

  • Run: Quick shots
  • Magazine: High velocity bullets
  • Perk 1: Pulse amplifiers or flare projectiles
  • Perk 2: Volt shot
  • Masterpiece: speed
  • In PvP, Owed Kindness doesn’t fare quite as well. Here it can neither be compared to other special ammunition options nor hold a candle to them. Shotguns, fusion rifles and snipers are better choices here. If you still want to try it, we recommend this combination.

  • What experiences have you had with the Owed Kindness pistol in Destiny 2? And do you think missile-carrying weapons can find a permanent place in Destiny 2’s meta? Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences in the comments.

Destiny 2 may soon set new standards in other areas too: AimJunkies wanted to ban the word “cheat” in the legal dispute with Destiny 2, it sounds too much like fraud
