According to a written statement from the White House, US President Joe Biden made a statement at the press conference held in the US state of Massachusetts regarding the reconciliation between Israel and Hamas that brought a humanitarian pause to the conflict.
Biden answered the journalists’ question about extending the duration of the humanitarian break: “There is such a possibility.” he replied.
4-DAY HUMANITARIAN SEARCH IN GAZA
The agreement regarding a 4-day humanitarian pause in the clashes between Israel and Hamas came into effect yesterday (November 24) at 07:00 (08:00 Turkish lira).
Yesterday evening, Hamas released 13 Israeli prisoners and Israel released 39 Palestinians, including 24 women and 15 children, from the Israeli prison Ofer in the occupied West Bank.
Within the scope of the agreement, 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons will be released in exchange for 50 Israeli prisoners held by Hamas.
The captives who will be released include women and children from both sides.
