‘Rule nonsense must stop’
On this Informal Care Day, MantelzorgNL draws attention to the ‘regulatory mess’ that informal caregivers have to deal with. The association sums up: “Dozens of organizations, a mountain of forms, letters with incomprehensible language and complicated rules.”
According to MantelzorgNL, which is committed to helping everyone who cares for a loved one, the administrative tasks cost an informal caregiver an average of 4 hours per week. With a petition, the organization calls on the government and healthcare organizations to do something about the ‘regulatory mess’. There are five million informal caregivers in the Netherlands.
