This Homemade Product Whitens Grout in 5 Minutes No

Mix these ingredients together. This is the miracle solution for whitening tile joints, without bleach or white vinegar. Here is the recipe.

In the bathroom, tile joints tend to turn black and moldy due to water and constant humidity in the room. The result: even a clean bathroom that has just been cleaned looks dirty. This is a common problem in bathrooms with tiled walls and floors. Since tile joints are porous, they easily absorb moisture, dirt and soap scum.

Bleaching tile joints is often a dreaded task. Traditional products such as bleach or white vinegar can be effective, but they also have disadvantages such as health and environmental risks for the former, and a strong odor for the latter.

Luckily, a simple and inexpensive homemade mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap can provide a quick and safe solution to whiten your tile grout. For this miracle recipe, you’ll need baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap.

Baking soda is a versatile ingredient known for its mild abrasive properties. It is excellent for removing dirt and deposits. However, it is not too abrasive and therefore will not damage your tiles or grout. Hydrogen peroxide, also called oxygenated water, is a powerful bleaching agent. It is often used to disinfect and whiten without the harmful effects of bleach. Finally, dishwashing liquid will help dissolve grease and dirt, making it easier to clean the seals.

The recipe is simple. Mix 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid in a bowl until you get a smooth paste. This mixture is ready to use and can be stored for future uses.

Apply the mixture generously to the grout using a toothbrush or small brush. Make sure the product covers the entire surface to be cleaned. Let it sit for about 5 minutes. During this time, the baking soda and hydrogen peroxide will begin to dissolve the stains and mold. After the 5 minutes, scrub the grout with the brush to loosen any remaining residue. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove any excess product and reveal sparkling clean grout.
