Zoe Terakes in Nine Perfect Strangers
It’s quite possible that Terakes is playing a friend of Williams’ circle who follows in Tony Stark’s footsteps as a young inventor. The first set pictures for the MCU series showed her in combat gear.
Theoretically, there were already trans* people in the Marvel Netflix series, although these series were not produced by Marvel Studios, but by the now defunct Marvel Television studio. Spider-Man: No Way Home, meanwhile, has hinted that it will be made by trans* actors Zach Barack played supporting character Zach also a trans* person.
The Ironheart casting under the Disney + umbrella is a different number and one important step in terms of representation in the MCU. Terakes does not embody a marginal character, but a key role, as Deadline points out. This has never been seen before in Hollywood’s biggest and most influential franchise.
